The LPI Universe

Short for - The London Paranormal Investigations Universe

In a city where darkness invades every crevice, there are creatures that lurk, waiting to pounce on unsuspecting humans and paranormals alike. The human government can no longer control those that threaten the hidden world of the supernatural, so they've outsourced crimes of the underworld to different agencies. Join me as we journey into the lives of investigators, whose only job is to take down those that threaten to expose the unseen world.

Hunted Witch Agency

Magically Bound

Witch, Warlock, Whatever…

My name’s Devon Jinx, and, yes, I’m half warlock, half witch. But I couldn't care less about which kind of magic is better. All I want to do is keep my head down and get on with my new job as an investigator at the Hunted Witch Agency.

A recent, shall we say, mistake, has put me in place to inherit the leadership of the warlocks. Which means only one thing. I have a choice to make: Leave behind my life of witchery to become a warlock, or lose my warlock magic forever.

Complicating my choice is the fact that someone is trying to destroy the warlock coven. If I don't stop them, the warlocks will be annihilated. The task seems impossible until Gerard Freshwater, a distractingly handsome witch, explodes into my life. He's determined to make me see that being a witch isn't just the best option, but the only option.

Magically Bonded

If magic could kill, it would. Or, at least it would kill Devon Jinx.

Half warlock, half... well, it used to be half witch, but I’m not so sure anymore. Ever since I defeated a powerful witch, my magic isn’t what it used to be. And, yet, I still hunt the ring leaders of the witch slave trade.

Until a more unsavoury plot appears. Gerard, my handsome agent partner, works with me to unravel the mystery of the warlock and witch gatherings. Apparently, they want to do a lot more than party. They’re prepared to create half-breeds, like me, to keep the warlock coven safe from the witches who threaten it.

And yet, from my own experience, being a half witch, half warlock, isn’t all fun and games. If I don’t stop the rogue supernaturals, the poor beings that are born into the world will face the same ultimatum as me: To choose just one type of magic… or die.

Magically Betrayed

Betrayal runs in the family…

The Hunted Witch Agency is hot on the heels of the leader of the witch slave trade. I’m determined to bring them down, even though they’re closer to home than I realise. Gerard, the only male keeping me sane, is ready to put them down for good. Until I’m kidnapped.

The witch who takes me has a personal vendetta. She can torture me all she likes, but she’ll never make me give up my mission to end her enterprise. And her.

I’m witch royalty, I’m a warlock disgrace. And now, I’m kidnapped. However, my magic is under control. For now. How long can I keep avoiding the inevitable?

Magically Banished

Betrayed, Banished, Bothered?

Since inheriting the link to the main source of warlock magic, the bounty on my head has quadrupled. If I don’t find a way to disconnect from the powerful source, the warlocks will hunt me down.

Banished to the city of Edinburgh for protection, I throw myself into a new case. Magic drugs are on the rise, and the agency is tasked in bringing down the coven responsible for pushing contaminated batches.
But with a powerful witch mob leader protecting our culprit, we may run out of time. In an effort to prevent further deaths, I use my magic... and bring the warlocks back onto my trail. Will I be able to stop the massacre before the warlocks find an excuse to end me for good?

Magically Blended

Case closed? Maybe not.

I’m a protector of the ley lines, and I’m also the direct link to warlock magic. No wonder I’m amazingly amazing right now. Although, this amount of magic is making me shaky. Is any paranormal creature built to hold so much?

Fighting the urge to use my magic every waking hour, I throw myself into the unfinished case of the Scottish mob coven and their poisoned drugs. My ignorance led me to believe that I’d wrapped everything up with a bow. And, yet, when our original culprit throws blame on the mob leader, we have to find evidence. Do we release our enemy to get our proof? Even at the risk of losing him?

Either way, his fate, and mine, will be decided on the day of the solstice. Will I be magically blended or magically broken?

Paranormal MI5

Spells & Death

Part witch, part ghost, total book nerd.

Gemma Abbott is a dead witch. Sort of. As a pure Essex witch, she’s permanently attached to Mother Earth’s ley lines. Pure magic equals life force. Which is the only thing that’s stopping Gemma’s body from dying and her soul from moving on.

A Paranormal MI5 agent, Gemma’s life work is to protect the ley lines. The magic contained within them is sacred, pure. When a serial killer starts leaving clues for Gemma, she quickly realises that not only does he know her secret, he’s trying to steal the magic out from under her.

As each new body is found, Gemma feels the lessening of magic that keeps her alive. She has no choice but to tell the one person she trusts. Dave, the cute admin guy. Although he sits behind a desk, his geeky mind could solve anything. Together, they have to find the serial killer, before he drains the Earth of magic, and kills every living thing on it.

Dead witch? As if.

With no memory of recent events, Gemma's fighting a losing battle. With a serial killer. Her team work closely to not only find him, but to help her harness the magic of the ley line. With her magic failing, her memories forgotten, and her team the only thing keeping her alive, Gemma doesn't have much time left.

Not only is the serial killer threatening Gemma, but the terrorist group Paranormals For Freedom (PFF) is about to play their hand. Unsure if the two cases are connected, Gemma and her team have to work double time to stop them all before more innocent lives are taken. Fighting the killer, the PFF, and her own death demons, Gemma is barely hanging on. Can she regroup in time to save London?

Viking Soul

Thunder Hunter

For Thor to live, Thunder Hunter must die.

A thousand years, that's how long I've been hunting the Fallen Ones that escaped Freya's field. One hundred and ninety five down, five to go. Just five disgusting evil spirits until I die and Thor's thunder will be returned to him. Nothing will stand in the way of me completing my mission, not even the woman who claims to be a descendant of Freya. I will kill the next Fallen One, no matter what.

Lightning Seeker

Another god in the mix, another Fallen One to kill.

Cults, Witches and Dark Creatures, all out to get me. However, something is different now. Some of the powerful leaders of the underworld are going missing, which brings my attention to the Hagalaz Cult. I'm investigating their claim that they're descendants of the most powerful Norse god of all time. Are they the ones rotting the underworld from the inside out?

Storm Guardian

My mission is my soul, my soul is my mission.

It’s time for me to leave the city of London, but before I go, there’s one thing I have to do: Destroy the cult named Hagalaz. The leaders may think they’re helping their ancestor, Odin. Yet, their very existence is a threat to me. In order for me to move on to find the next Fallen One, I have to end the war before it begins.
