Throne of Glass Review

September 17, 2015

Throne of Glass is a YA fantasy series. When a book starts to become popular I like to get on the bandwagon. Not all the time, only with books that appeal to me.

'This book is sooo good,' one of my young friends said.

Of course, I couldn't resist a recommendation so I ordered my paperback copy. You don't think I could have such a highly rated book as an ebook, do you? Well, I probably could, but I fancied holding the book and of course, taking a picture for instagram!

When I opened the book and found a map, I hoped that there weren't going to be too many made up words. I sometimes struggle to rememeber them all. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the language wasn't hard to follow. In fact, as soon as it became clear that the progtoganist was kick arse, I couldn't put it down.

What I love about the book is the way it has you on the edge of the seat. There are two men that Celaena gets close to and it's hard to know which one she may or may not get with. I know who I would prefer her to fall in love with!

I love the fantasy element that comes into play throughout the book. Ancient symbols that we know nothing about, scary things that make me glad I was tucked up safely in my bed. Throne of Glass has everything that makes me addicted to reading. I can't wait to get the next book in the series.

This is a personal review on a YA book. I love to's what got me into writing in the first place. Let me know if you have read this book. Did you enjoy it as much as I did?
