Merry Christmas to all my readers.
What a year it's been. I know Christmas is a week before the end of the year but I always find that I get reflective over this time. It's been a big year career wise for me. The real start of my writing career. I sometimes wonder if I chose to write the right books. I write from the heart, instead of for the market. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't.
I've bumbled along nicely. To be honest, I can't quite believe how quickly this year has gone. I know I tend to say that every year but this year has been super speedy. A natural reaction for most people at the end of a year is to worry about what they haven't done, but I don't want to do that. Life has ebbs and flows, constantly taking us to the next phase.
I love writing full time. Yes, it can be isolating. Yes, it can be lazy at times. But, oh how I love to write stories almost every day. It flows naturally from me, unlike the rest of my life. New ideas and new plans are getting made as I head into the new year, I hope you're doing the same.
So, this Christmas, enjoy the time spent with loved ones. I hope you get to be merry and have a lot of fun. If you're not in a position for a wonderful Christmas, please feel free to contact me on here or on my Facebook page. Talk to me, I've been where you are.
Last but not least, I would like to thank you all for loving my stories, connecting with me and embracing my words. You have no idea how much you've made my dreams come true.
Love Rachel x
